Surge is expected after pension scheme reviews

Fund management firms are experiencing a surge in activity as strategic reviews at pension schemes come to completion.

Paul Harris, managing director at UBS Global Asset Management, says that funds are shifting assets after digesting the implications of Paul Myners' institutional investment review. He says: "There's been a noticeable pick-up in activity as re-organisational changes put on hold by funds following Myners finally come through." Harris adds that there is a strong interest in the firm's global equity fund.
