SVG Capital has drafted in the chairman of advisory and stockbroking firm Oriel Securities as a director, marking the first new arrival to its board since the UK-listed fund of funds manager said in December it would review the composition of its board.

SVG Capital this morning announced that Oriel chairman David Robins, who spent 18 years with Phillips & Drew and subsequently UBS, before becoming chairman and chief executive of ING Barings, has joined as a non-executive director.
