Stockholm-based A-P Fonden 7 has longlisted at least 13 passive managers to run a significant part of the new fund, which is expected to total SKr15bn (€1.8bn) to Skr25bn of assets.

The disclosed names of the thirteen managers on the shortlist are Alliance Capital, Barclays Global Investors, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Asset Management, Lehman Brothers, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Investment Management, Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, Northern Trust Global Investments, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, State Street Global Advisors, UBS Asset Management and Vanguard.
