Swedish bed firm picks Nordic banks for IPO

Hilding Anders, the Swedish bed manufacturer, has appointed Carnegie and Svenska Handelsbanken to manage its long-planned initial public offering.

No timetable has been set for the listing, which has been in the pipeline for the past year. The firm is 28% owned by Ratos, the Swedish listed private equity firm, and Nordic Capital, another Swedish venture capital house, owns a further 33% stake. In April 2002, a spokewoman for Ratos said it wanted to list Hilding Anders within the next 12 months, depending on market conditions.
