SWIP doubles profits

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, the fund management arm of Lloyds TSB, doubled pre-tax profits last year to £16m (€23m), reflecting improved stock markets and increased revenues from new business.

SWIP won £4.4bn of gross new business last year, an increase of 110% over 2004, and assets under management rose 16% to £95bn.
