Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip), the assets management arm of UK bank Lloyds TSB, has appointed Martin Ortwing as head of Nordic business. He was formerly with Baring Asset Management (BAM), the fund manager owned by the Dutch group ING.

Ortwing joins Swip on January 6 where he will be responsible for business development and client liason. He held a similar role at BAM where he was for the past three years.
