Swiss drop money laundering probe on politician

The Geneva prosecutor has dropped money laundering charges against Asif Ali Zardari, the Pakistani politician tipped to become the country’s next president, according to various press reports.

Zardari, the husband of the assassinated Benazir Bhutto, took over leadership of the Pakistan People's Party shortly after her death. He is the leading candidate in the country's forthcoming presidential elections.
