Swiss funds perform strongly against UK peers

The median return for Swiss public and private pension funds was -10.3% for 2002, according to a survey by Watson Wyatt Worldwide and Asip, the Swiss Pension Fund Association.

Compared to other nations Swiss funds have performed well. The UK pensions market, for example, returned -18.1%, according to Russell Mellon Caps' latest figures. According to Asip and Watson Wyatt this is mainly because of the lower proportion of equities held by Swiss funds compared to the UK.
