Swiss National Bank confirms chairman

The Swiss National Bank confirmed on Wednesday that interim chairman Thomas Jordan would continue in the role on a permanent basis, four months after former head Philipp Hildebrand was forced to stand down in the wake of a trading scandal involving his wife's personal dealings.

The Swiss National Bank also named Fritz Zurbruegg to the SNB's governing board. He joins Jordan and vice chairman Jean-Pierre Danthine in steering monetary policy.
