Geneva-based private bank Mirabaud has bought a minority stake in Spanish brokerage and research house Venture Finanzas. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The move comes after both companies opened joint-venture discussions earlier this year. Mirabaud said it would consider taking a majority stake at a later date in Venture Finanzas.
