Zurmont Madison plots restructuring of debut fund

Talks with secondaries buyers come as Swiss private equity firm looks to secure its future

Swiss private equity firm Zurmont Madison is eyeing a restructuring of its only fund as it attempts to secure its future, according to people familiar with the matter.

Zurmont Madison, which was established in 2006, has been struggling to raise a successor to its 200 million Swiss franc ($206.4 million) 2008-vintage fund, following the global financial crisis. In 2012, the firm tried to raise approximately €200 million for a second fund, but postponed the fundraising.
