Switzerland stays in top place - above the US - as a the world's the most competitive nation when measured by macroeconomic policy, the quality of education and efficiency of labour, among other things

The darling of billionaires, hedge fund managers and wealthy sports stars, Switzerland's fortunes are on the up, after being named as the world's most competitive nation for the second year running.

An annual survey from the World Economic Forum reveals Switzerland is the most competitive nation in the world, seeing it hold on to its crown after knocking the US from top spot in 2009.
