Systems hitch at Euronext holds up Dutch IPO

A systems failure at Euronext on Friday delayed the IPO for Dutch drug development company Crucell which, when trading finally got under way, immediately fell below its issue price.

Trading at Euronext, which was created last month out of the merger between the Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam exchanges, was delayed for just short of an hour for what the exchange called &quottechnical reasons&quot. The exchange was due to open at 9am on Friday morning but instead started trading at 9.55am.
