Talks between the Treasury and the European Commission will start this week on the framework for regulatory cooperation for financial services, the Prime Minister’s spokesperson said.

In a 12 January call with journalists, the No 10 spokesperson said: “The Treasury have been in contact with the European Union on this and discussions are starting this week.
