Tanzi makes second guilty plea in Parmalat trial

Calisto Tanzi, the founder of Italian dairy company Parmalat, has offered to plead guilty for a second time in order to get a reduced jail sentence in Italy's biggest bankruptcy trial.

Bloomberg reports that Tanzi, whose initial guilty plea request was rejected by Milan prosecutors in May, planned the latest plea to have his sentenced reduced sufficiently to avoid prison. It cites Tanzi's lawyer.
