Taylor retirement prompts reshuffle of MLIM top brass

Merrill Lynch Investment Managers has decided to take the early retirement of Mary Taylor, the firm's head of the Americas, as an opportunity to streamline the firm's hierarchy.

The restructuring of some of the top positions at MLIM follows the firm's strategic decision last year to amalgamate responsibility for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region with that for the Pacific region, and split accountability for investment and business operations between regional chief investment officers and chief operating officers.
