TCI and Atticus renew Börse activism

The Children's Investment Fund and Atticus Capital, which together hold 19% of Deutsche Börse's voting rights, have called for changes at the German exchange and potentially to its supervisory board in a move reminiscent of their ouster of former chairman Rolf Breuer and chief executive Werner Seifert in 2005.

The two activist hedge funds said they had agreed to work together to explore how to improve shareholder value.
