Ex-TCI partner sets sights on new fund

The new firm will be the second high-profile launch to come out of TCI in as many years

A former partner at Chris Hohn's The Children's Investment Fund, who left the London-based investment group in January, plans to set up his own hedge fund firm.

Stuart Powers was a senior analyst at TCI before he left in January after seven years with the group, according to the FSA register. He now plans to launch a global long/short equity hedge fund, according to three people familiar with the situation.
