Tim Pinnington has joined TD Waterhouse UK, the broking arm of the Canadian financial services group, as chief executive officer and executive vice president, a newly-created position at the firm.

Last year TD Waterhouse launched a mutual fund supermarket in the UK to sell proprietary mutual funds as well as some 400 third-party funds from other UK investment managers including Aberdeen Asset Management, Barclays Global Investors, Baring Asset Management, Fidelity Investments and Jupiter Asset Management.
