Telecom issuers save money on fees

Deutsche Telekom paid minimal fees for its jumbo euro-denominated bond issue, in a clear sign that banks are prepared to take a pay cut in order to secure the highest profile corporate mandates.

Bankers said that Deutsche Telekom, rated A3 by Moody's and A- by Standard & Poor's, paid fees that would normally be associated with the best-rated borrowers in the international bond market.
