Telenor, the Norwegian telecommunications firm, has hired Lazard to help it decide whether to press on with an initial public offering for Telenor Media, its directory and media subsidiary.
A spokesman for Telenor Media, in confirming the appointment of Lazard as strategic adviser, said: "It was natural for them to assist us. We used Lazard on the original Telenor IPO and we were very happy with what they did."
