The UK chairman and chief executive of EMI, the music company bought by private equity house Terra Firma last year, has become the latest in a string of senior executives to step down as buyout boss Guy Hands overhauls management.

Tony Wadsworth, EMI's chairman and chief executive of UK and Ireland, is leaving, following the departures of EMI chief executive Eric Nicoli and chief financial officer Martin Stewart.
