Terry Smith pocketed more than £12m in the 12 months to the end of March last year, becoming one of the UK’s highest-paid investors.

The outspoken founder of Fundsmith, one of Britain’s most successful fund management firms, was awarded the multi-million pound profit share after revenues at his firm increased by 50%.
