Tesco has appointed Chase Manhattan Bank as global custodian to its £1.3bn pension fund.

The move by the Tesco Pension Trustees follows change to the investment arrangements of the UK fund earlier this year. Prudential Portfolio Managers, Deutsche Asset Management, Newton Investment Management, Barclays Global Investors and Phillips & Drew previously managed the fund.
