I've just found out my colleague is earning WAY more than me. Should I have it out with my boss?

We all measure ourselves by comparing ourselves to others. It is our inherited monkey-brain side of us. Even if I thought I was happy with one banana, the fact that I’ve seen someone else with two bananas is likely to get me very upset.
