It always amazes me how much time we spend at work and how little we discuss the actual reason that we are there. You’ll probably spend just under 10 minutes in a year, in which you might work 2,000 hours, discussing your pay or bonus with your boss.

Some companies like Sum All and Whole Foods let all their staff know exactly how much each other earn, but most of us are in the dark about what our friends or colleagues take home.
