After a quarter of a century displaying a scale model of the City skyline at the world’s top property events, the City of London Corporation is preparing a new way of showing off the streets of the Square Mile – using virtual reality.

Simon McGinn, who heads up the corporation’s property advisory team, told members of its planning committee that efforts are underway to develop a virtual reality model of the City, “the first of its kind in the world”, with the aim of having a presentation ready for next year’s Mipim, an annual property conference in the south of France.
