The pandemic-fuelled demise of urban areas is being “overblown”, managing director of strategy at Canary Wharf Group has said.

There are currently 5,000 people at Canary Wharf at the moment, Howard Dawber told BBC Radio 4, in comparison to 100,000 on a normal day with between 30,000 and 40,000 visitors on top of that. When lockdown eased at the end of 2020, there were around 20,000 people back in the offices.
