When HSBC announced the launch of its new FX app, Zing, in January, it wasn’t the bank’s first foray into the fintech space.

HSBC partnered with US-based Tradeshift in August 2023 to develop financial services apps. It has also invested in several fintech platforms including Monese, which offers accounts and money transfer services as an alternative to traditional banks.
