The last time the Dow crossed 13,000...

Lehman Brothers was a going concern, Merrill Lynch looked to dispose of its mortgage-backed securities and Manchester United won the UEFA Champions League

Lehman Brothers was still a going concern and the financial crisis was not quite yet in full-swing the last time the Dow Jones Industrial Average traded above the 13,000 mark.

The US benchmark index traded above 13,000 for the first time in almost four years on Tuesday around noon. It closed slightly below that point at 12,965.69.
