Fund management groups with about €500 billion in assets under management are forecast to be at the centre of one of the biggest M&A shake-ups in a generation.

Analysts predict that over the next three years firms such as Jupiter, Ashmore, Liontrust, Santander and Eurizon Capital could all be involved in deals.
