The political frenzy over the future of state controlled Royal Bank of Scotland is set to hit a crescendo in the coming weeks as an influential parliamentary commission prepares to publish a long report into UK banking culture.

The Parliamentary Commission On Banking Standards won't release the report for at least another two weeks as the cross-party members issue their amendments to the 567-page text.
