The UK is in “advanced discussions” to secure doses of US pharmaceutical firm Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine, the prime minister’s spokesperson said.

During a call with journalists, Boris Johnson’s spokesperson said that the UK already has early access to 350 million vaccine doses through agreements with six different vaccines. Moderna is not one of those.
