Thai Dang, owner of Nam Long Le Shaker in London's South Kensington, was back in the limelight last week for his minor role in the latest Archer scandal on Friday. The Financial Services Authority last Friday banned Jeffrey Archer's son James from working in the City for alleged share manipulation while he was a trader at Credit Suisse First Boston in the late 1990s. Jamie Archer was one of the infamous Flaming Ferraris, a team of young CSFB hotshots, who named themselves after a potent drink served at Thai's posh cocktail bar and Vietnamese restaurant.

Thai held forth on Friday afternoon to several television reporters about the recipe for a Flaming Ferrari (100% proof rum, Chartreuse, Grand Marnier and Blue Curaçao, set alight and drunk through a straw) and young Jamie's character (like any suddenly successful young man, a bit flash - but always well-behaved).
