If there's one thing that investment bankers deserve credit for, it's being resourceful.

A recent ex-Morgan Stanley corporate financier has jumped on the seasonal bandwagon by starting a business delivering Christmas trees to City of London folk who have had not had time to buy one. James Needham's company, Ice Ventures, has secured a batch of Nordmann firs, the top quality Danish trees that the company website described as having "low needle drop, soft rubbery needles and symmetrical shape". Old habits die hard: Needham says he considered labelling the business a "strategically aligned yuletide timber solutions provider", but don't laugh him off because Ice Ventures will come and collect the unwanted tree in January. Now that's service. If you want to try it, look at www.ice-ventures.com
