Martin Burton, chief executive of Monument Securities, the City of London derivatives broker, has written a book chronicling his ski-sailing trip from the South Pole to the coast of Antarctica this year.

Burton, who made the 600-mile trip with two friends, has written an account entitled An English Amateur in Antarctica to raise money for the St Thomas' Lupus Trust. This supports research and raises awareness of lupus, a disease that infects the immune system and can affect any organ in the body. Contact the trust via www.lupus.org.uk.
