There is an approximately $90bn opportunity for private equity firms looking to acquire minority stakes in their peers, according to asset management group Investcorp.

The ongoing market disruption due to the coronavirus pandemic and an increasing demand for permanent capital will create attractively valued opportunities among private equity firms looking to sell stakes in themselves, Investcorp said in a report published on 12 May.
