Financial services firms began the year with a "spring in their step" in spite of Brexit uncertainty, according to a survey by the UK's top business lobby group and audit firm PwC.

Sentiment in the financial services sector as a whole stabilised in the first three months of 2017, the Confederation of British Industry and PwC said on Monday, following a year of steady deterioration.
