There’s an ‘economic need’ to bring employees back to the office, says PwC chair

Kevin Ellis's comments come as footfall in central London has still not reached its pre-pandemic levels

There's an "economic need" to bring staff back to the office, chair of PwC Kevin Ellis said, echoing comments made by other senior City figures.

"It’s our responsibility as employers," Ellis told The Times, as the professional services firm reported its financial results. "What the government do, the government do, but I think there’s a business advantage to investing in our people and a business advantage to our people being trained to work in a collaborative way."
