The UK prime minister has suffered a crushing defeat to her EU withdrawal agreement, increasing the likelihood that the country will have to delay its exit from the bloc or undergo a no-deal Brexit.
UK politicians rejected the prime minister’s Brexit deal by 432 to 202, a majority of 230. The hefty loss — at the upper end of expectations — heightens uncertainty over the country’s future relationship with Europe and increases the possibility of a delay to the official exit date of March 29.
