Englefield Capital, the UK-based private equity firm, has strengthened its European coverage with the hire of Marc Thierry from Allianz Private Equity Partners.

Thierry, who joins Englefield as an investment manager, was one of four managing directors at Allianz responsible for the firm's European investments. His earlier experience includes a combined seven years at Morgan Stanley Capital Partners and Apax Partners covering European buyouts.
