A New York-based managing director in marketing at Dan Loeb’s hedge fund manager Third Point is leaving to lead the marketing efforts of a rival event-driven manager, Financial News has learnt.

In a change of address email from Marc Zwebner, a copy of which was seen by Financial News, he wrote: "My last day at Third Point LLC is this Friday. Due to its 'hard closed' status and a great opportunity at York Capital, I have decided to leave Third Point."
