Thomson Financial, the securities industry software developer, has launched a set of database conversion tools that will enable users of its Portia portfolio management system and its Oneva Trade EQ equity trade-order management system to upgrade the systems themselves.

The company said the tools would enable firms to convert product databases more quickly and with less risk of systems failure or operational risk.
