Fund managers and brokers in Europe are about to get a helping hand communicating with each other when a well-established fund-management system is connected to a communication network this week.

Thomson Financial, the financial information conglomerate, will this week connect its fund manager order management system, called OpenTrader, to the AutexConnect network, which links fund managers and brokers.
