Thomson quits Colonial Stewart Ivory

The newly created Colonial Stewart Ivory Investments is once again looking for a chief executive after John Thomson abruptly left his post after less than two months.

Peter Polson, managing director of Colonial First State Investments Group, said: 'There have emerged different views on the organisational structure required to support the future strategy of the business. In this context John Thomson will not remain in the company.'
