Thomson Reuters posts Q4 loss on $3bn writedown

Thomson Reuters swung to a fourth-quarter loss on a huge $3.01bn write-down related to its financial services business, though top and bottom-line results improved at both its market and professional divisions.

The financial data and news provider company last year unveiled a restructuring of its markets business amid disappointing early sales of a new markets desktop product called Eikon.
