Thomson Financial, the information division of US conglomerate Thomson Corporation, has bought Raw Communications, the London-based webcasting service.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Raw had once planned to float for up to £1bn (€1.5bn), but sources close to Thomson said: "The deal was done for an awful lot less than that."
