Former Conservative MP Michael Portillo last night announced the shortlist for the 2012 Threadneedle Prize for Painting and Sculpture in London. Six works of art were shortlisted for the annual prize sponsored by the investment manager. The winner of the £30,000 award and a £10,000 visitors’ choice award will be announced on October 10. The works are on display at the Mall Galleries, The Mall, London.
