Manager of £1.8 billion Global Equity Income fund died on December 28

Stephen Thornber, a senior fund manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investments who was key to the growth of its global equity income franchise, passed away suddenly over the Christmas break.

Thornber, who was in his mid-50s, died on December 28, according to a statement from the company this morning, January 3. He was one of the firm's launch team in 1994.
