New Star Asset Management is to take on three managers from Aberdeen Asset Management to help run the six retail funds that it has bought from the Scottish firm.

Phil Roantree will be following the three fixed income funds - the Aberdeen fixed interest unit trust, high-yield bond unit trust and sterling bond unit trust - to New Star, where he will team up with Theodora Zemek and James Gledhill.
